19th Century FRENCH, Empire Ormolu-Mounted Mahogany Bed, 1800-1825

Mahogany, 46 x 72 x 36 in. (116.8 x 182.9 x 91.4 cm)

Each head and footboard with outscrolled rounded top rails fitted with ormolu floral wreaths above elaboratelly carved swans and arcaded niche flanked by rounded pilasters with ormolu capitals and terminals ending in a semi-circular base on casters joined by a downcurved rail.

18th Century FRENCH, Régence Black Lacquer Bureau Plat, 1700-1725

Black lacquered wood, 28 3/4 x 70 7/8 x 34 1/2 in. (73 x 180 x 87.6 cm)

Rectangular top with a leather-lined writing surface above three short drawers and fitted with faux drawers on the reverse, raised on cabriole legs, the whole fitted with later ormulu mounts.
